| The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao is committed every year to celebrate diversity and dialogue between the Francophone world and Hong Kong. With support from Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao and participation of experts from Hong Kong, France, Switzerland, Canada, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Civil Societies, and on this very special occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion of 1986, Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has hosted the “Symposium on Health and Education Sectors Together for Children’s Health Today and Tomorrow: An International Dialogue” on 12 November 2016. International Stakeholder’s Meeting and Study Tour has been organized from 9 to 11 November. This symposium can serve as an exchange platform which aims to address this core issue and bring active steps to the global community. It is our great honor to have Mr Sheridan Sha-lun Lee, Principal Assistant Secretary (Curriculum Development) of Education Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, as our officiating guest. There were three keynote speeches delivered in our symposium by Professor Didier Jourdan, Professor in Sciences of Education, Blaise Pascal University, Clermont-Ferrand II, France. Vice-president of the Committee specialist in Prevention, Education and Promotion of Health (CSPEPS); Professor Lawrence St Leger, Honorary Professor and Former Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Health, Nursing and Behavioural Science, Deakin University, Australia and Dr. Souhaïl Latrèche with Mrs Julie Jourdheuil-Roy, Head and Deputy-head of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Positive feedback was received from the over 130 participants from Macao and Hong Kong. |
