AN INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUE

Introduction

The International Organization of Francophonie (French speaking countries and cultures) does promote French language but also serves to promote education, peace and dialogue between countries, noticeably towards the young generation. Every year, the International Day of Francophonie is celebrated worldwide. In this occasion, 220 million “Francophones and Francophiles” celebrate on 5 continents with cultural, educational and scientific events. The francophone schools all over the world have a crucial role in this global dynamic.

The Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion (CHEP) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, whose mission is to Co-ordinate Health Education and Promotion programmes and research through Education and Empowerment of key stakeholders in Partnership across different disciplines beyond boundary of health sector, co-organise with the Wu Yee Sun College in the commemorating 35th Anniversary of Faculty of Medicine and 15th Anniversary of JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, the Symposium “Health and Education Sectors Together for Children’s Health Today and Tomorrow: AN INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUE” with the participation of experts from Hong Kong, France, Switzerland, Canada, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Civil Societies, to address this core issue and bring active steps to the global community.

The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao is committed every year to celebrate diversity and dialogue between the Francophone world and Hong Kong and supports this project.

“Symposium on Health and Education Sectors Together for Children’s Health Today and Tomorrow: An International Dialogue” on 12 November 2016 is admission free and open to all.

You are encouraged to submit abstracts to be considered for free paper presentation or poster presentation on 12 November 2016.

“International Stakeholders’ meeting and Study Tour on advancing Health Promoting Schools” from 9 to 11 November 2016 is closed session by invitation only.

Publication of the communication under editorship of CHEP, CUHK and Blaise Pascal University in English and French report will be produced to share how education and health sectors would work closer for better health of our children and adolescents.
