27 Jan: The online seminar "Defect COVID-19: The Latest Vaccine Information You Need to Know"

We have co-organised a YouTube live with e2Care on "Defect COVID-19: The Latest Vaccine Information You Need to Know" on the afternoon of 27 January 2024 (Saturday). The live seminar was presented by Dr. Lo Ho-yin Angus, Specialist in Respiratory Medicine, and moderated by Prof. Wong Chi-sang Martin, our Centre Director.

The seminar was held to educate the public about the latest generation of COVID-19 vaccines now available in Hong Kong. The purpose of the seminar was to encourage people to stay informed about vaccination updates and to better understand the vaccine. The seminar covered various topics such as symptoms and sequelae of COVID-19 infection, the current situation of infection in Hong Kong, the vaccination programme of the Hong Kong Government, and the properties and effectiveness of the new generation XBB vaccine.

During the seminar, our speaker addressed questions from registered participants. The audience comprised members of the general public, including elderly individuals, patients with chronic diseases, people with weak immunity, and those concerned about COVID-19 and vaccines.
