Unit 9 Work with Challenges

Everyone feels stressed occasionally, and knowing how to manage stress is vital to our mental health. This unit explores the sources of stress among teenagers and their symptoms when faced with pressure. It also introduces stress-reduction methods, diaries and mindfulness practices to help teenagers establish good stress-management skills. As technology advances, we have more opportunities to witness by watching videos and new reports of traumatic events in other parts of the world, which can make us feel stressed, overwhelmed and vulnerable to developing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. This unit also explores the impact of media on adolescents’ mental health so that young people can be aware of their emotional and physical health and seek help when needed.
