People-oriented Well-being Design: Strategies for Healthier Living

The Housing Bureau and the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) launched the Well-being Design Guide in September 2024, as a reference for the future design of new public housing estates and improvement works at existing estates. Embracing eight "well-being Concepts", the design guide also aims to enhance community health and reduce healthcare pressure by fostering environments that promote physical activity, social engagement, mental wellness and accessibility to health resources to create a sustainable and supportive community framework.
