Public Health Lecture on "Guardians of Wellness: Understanding Early Prevention of Breast Cancer"

The Centre, in partnership with Tai Po DHC Express, hosted an impactful public health lecture on "Guardians of Wellness: Understanding Early Prevention of Breast Cancer" on October 26 at the Wu Ho Man Building of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Anna Tai Yin Ping, a Specialist in Clinical Oncology, expertly led the discussion on essential knowledge, risk factors, and proactive measures to combat breast cancer. Our goal is to empower everyone with a deeper understanding of breast cancer and inspire proactive steps in daily life. Regular self-examinations and professional breast screenings are essential for early detection, and embracing a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet, moderate exercise, and mental wellness is crucial for minimizing risk. We appreciate your participation and support. We hope today's lecture will be helpful and encourage everyone to prioritize their health. We invite you to continue engaging with and supporting the Centre's initiatives. Thank you for being part of this important conversation!

Breast cancer is a common cancer among women in Hong Kong. Research shows that in addition to genetic factors, more than 30% of breast cancer patients can reduce the threat to their health by establishing a healthy lifestyle. CHEHP cooperates with the Tai Po district health center to hold health talks on breast cancer prevention. We are glad to invite enthusiastic doctors to promote breast health to female members of the district health center, providing important information on the prevention and detection of breast cancer. The speaker will provide expert advice, explain the details of participants' questions, and clarify their doubts about this topic.
