Our registered dietitian was invited to conduct a talk and cooking workshop on healthy eating for parents at a special school on October 23 and November 5, 2024. During the talk and workshop, the dietitian explained basic principles of healthy eating, possible measures to deal with common dietary issues among special students, and introduced daily healthy food choices. Additionally, with the guidance from our dietitian, caregivers had a chance to prepare healthy snacks together not only to reinforce what they have learned, but also to promote healthy snacks as alternatives to those high in oil, salt, and sugar.
