16 Mar Understanding Chronic Kidney Disease: Prevention, Management, and Healthy Living

The Centre and the Sai Kung District Health Centre co-organized the seminar, attracting over 80 participants. We contributed to the theme of caring for kidney disease. We are honored to invite expert Dr. Chan Zi (Nephrology specializes) to explore the different types of kidney disease treatment options, including medication, dietary adjustments, and treatments such as dialysis or kidney transplantation when necessary. Treatment plans can vary depending on the patient’s specific circumstances while also allowing kidney patients to share their experiences and learn how to support patients in dealing with stress and anxiety related to the disease. During the lecture, Dr CHAN Zi introduced protective measures to prevent the worsening of chronic kidney disease, precautions for high-risk groups, and precautions in daily life, aiming to enhance the public's awareness and attention to kidney disease.
