Vaccinate for Health: Boosting Adult Immunity

Thank you all for attending today’s seminar at the Centre with Sum Yee, Shatin District Office, Area Committee (Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Sha Tin Wai, Siu Lek Yuen, Ma On Shan South, and Ma On Shan North). We also appreciate the contributions of our co-organizers for the Shatin District Adult Vaccination Information Seminars, which were jointly organized by the Shatin DHC Express, Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong College of Technology(HKCT), Hong Kong Dental Association, and Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion in The Chinese University of Hong Kong. We are honored to invite speaker Dr. Lau Tin Kay (Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor, The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK) to provide information about COVID-19 vaccines to the public.

Dr. Lau provided an update to the public regarding the launch of the latest batch of COVID-19 vaccines and their significance. We discussed in detail the characteristics and effectiveness of the new vaccine, highlighting the ongoing importance of vaccination. As the epidemic situation evolves, receiving the new vaccines can effectively boost our immune protection and reduce the risk of infection and severe illness.

We aim to use this lecture to share accurate information about the new batch of COVID-19 vaccines with the public. Our goal is to enhance confidence and motivation for vaccination, as well as to collaboratively prevent infections caused by the new coronavirus and related severe illnesses. Hope the audience will incorporate what they learn today into their daily lives and actively participate in vaccination, taking responsibility for their health with others.
